When becoming an Electrical Engineer it takes many steps to actually be eligible for performing like an engineer. First you need to go to college and take several Calculus classes and an Engineering class, you must also gain a Bachelors degree. After all the hard work of becoming an Electrical Engineer it is truly worth it, this is because of the pay you get for having that job title. In fact your median salary that you'll be getting for this job title will be $91,410. I know I wouldn't mind having that kind of pay. This branch of engineering really caught my eye because of its popularity all around the country or even the world. In most likely any city you will be able to obtain a job by working for the cities electric company. You can literally move almost anywhere and make the same or more amount of money than the last city you were living in. Now back to the College you will be needing for the job. A Bachelors Degree takes roughly 4 years to acquire. But almost every college/university offers this major which is a huge advantage most Americans should take a hold of.

All the different categories of knowledge you will gain in college will be on Calculus, General  Chemistry, Principles of Electronics, Fundamentals of Circuits, and Microprocessors. In my preference I prefer where my hometown is at the University of Arizona or you can go the cheaper way at a community college.
